Maui 2010 - The Road to Hana

The road to Hana has lived as a mystery for many people, despite the fact that it is one of the most beautiful drives on the island, the road to Hana has long been known as “off limits” for most tourists due to the extremely poor and hazardous condition of the road. In fact, until recently the rumor was that you needed a Jeep or other 4x4 capable vehicle to actually get all the way to Hana. I’m happy to say that it is now a two lane (occasionally single lane bridge crossings) fully paved and well maintained road that is well worth the few hours it takes to roundtrip.
